On the west end of Agios Constantinos, lies the detour that leads to the village of Ambelos and after 4 km of uphill and winding road you will reach the village.

The average slope grading is 40% towards the sea in a manner that is giving the impression of a balcony over the Aegean Sea. There’s a fantastic view towards the north and towards Asia Minor.

In the past the village was called “Nenedes”, after the surname of the first settlers. Ambelos counts less than 400 permanent residents, the nearby small settlements included.

For any problem, you should return to the capital town of Samos, some 22 kilometers far from the village to the West.Access to the village is easy by rented or private car and motorbikes.
