Vourliotes is an inland village, situated at an altitude of 300 meters, some 5 kilometers far from the main public road, leading from Samos to Karlovasi.It is located in the north of the island at about 300 meters in altitude, near Kampos or Kambos and Avlakia, approximately in the middle of the island as you look from left to right.
The distance to Samos Town is some 21 kilometers. Vourliotes is an old village which dates from the 16th century and the earliest inhabitants came from the village of Vourla in Minor Asia. Thanks to the scenic environment and the neighboring lovely beaches, the area receives numerous tourists.
Accommodation facilities are available for them and the traditional restaurants and cafés at the square of the village offer gorgeous food and local dishes. At the coastal taverns the visitor will also enjoy fresh fish and seafood.
For swimming you may go to the nearby beach of Avlakia, and to the beaches of Tsampou and Kambos, also close enough; in all of them you will enjoy a crystal clear, very clean sea.
